Preliminary Layout

 Title: “Dreamlike Reality” 

 

 

Settings: 

 

Our film starts off in two different settings. One being a narrow, dark, and empty alleyway where our main protagonist is first seen. The next setting is when the protagonist wakes up, where she is seen in her and her partner’s bed. When she gets up she looks around and we can see a more broad view of the setting which is the couple’s small apartment. 

 

 

Characters: 

 

Yvie: She is the main protagonist and who the story revolves around and is a trusting person but becomes more skeptical throughout the film. The film follows her journey in discovering her partner’s true identity as a serial killer. 

 

David: He is the main antagonist and Yvie’s longtime boyfriend of a 3 years. He’s extremely smart and lives a secret second life as a serial killer while trying his best to seem normal around Yvie and doing a good job at it. 

 

John Doe: Lifeless body we see under David in the dream Evie has. We don’t know who he is or his background and it is not elaborated on later. 

 

Actions:

            

            The first two minutes of our film start with Yvie looking around a dark alleyway and turning to follow a trail of blood. The next action we see is David hovering over a dead body and the Yvie stopped in her tracks. The final action within the first two minutes is when Yvie wakes up from her dream and looks around the room. 

 

 

Plotline: 

 

            The film begins within a dream by Yvie in which she finds herself in a dark and abandoned alleyway then follows a trail of blood leading around the corner. She sees David slumped over a clearly slaughtered body, knife in hand, when he turns to look at her with malice in his eyes. Yvie wakes up from her dream and is shocked but relieved it was just a dream until she turns over in bed to tell David it and sees he is not there. She anxiously sits up in bed and looks around the room, but he is nowhere to be seen.
